you do know that " the 4th of july" is how we in the uk say it , yes?

every other day of the year you call it june 7th. december 12th . april 23rd 

as in the ' month before the day' format 

you are celebrating your country's independence from england by using our date format.
just call it july 4th.

i wouldnt mind it so much if you didnt spend the rest of the year putting the month first 
but you dont.
